(Prof D N Sharma) (born 21 May 1965) is an Indian oncologist and author known for his contributions in the field of cancer treatment and especially in brachytherapy.[1] He serves as the Head of the department and senior consultant oncologist at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.[2][3] He is presently Editor of Chief in JCRT(Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics),[4] a peer-reviewed oncology journal of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India.
Life and career[edit]
D N Sharma was born in the Narnaul, Mahendragarh city in the state of Haryana . He graduated in medicine (MBBS) from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak in 1987. He did MD Radiation Oncology from Same institute in 1994. He also secured a DNB in Radiation Oncology National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 1998.
He joined AIIMS in 1994 and attained position of Professor and head by his hard work and dedication to treatment of cancer patients.

- Visiting Professor Lecture by Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA, 2016.
- Recipient of AIIMS Research Excellence Award 2014 under clinical category.
- Awarded UICC Fellowship twice and visited Washington university, St louis, Missouri and Ohio State University, Columbus, Oh, USA in 1999 and 2007.
