Chakhao
Chakhao (Meitei: ꯆꯛꯍꯥꯎ) or Chak Hao (Old Manipuri: ꯆꯥꯛ ꯍꯥꯎ) (Manipuri black aromatic rice) is a species of paddy plant, found in the plains of Manipur, India.[1][2][3] It is recognized as the healthiest food in the world. And in the year 2020, it has achieved its GI (Geographical Indication) tag. It has two subspecies, "Chakhao Poireiton" and "Chakhao Amubi".[4]
