Buddhism in Brunei

Buddhism is the third largest religion after state religion of Brunei, Islam and Christianity.[1] Mahayana Buddhism is the most popular and alongside Ancestor Worship, Taoism and Confucianism as one which is the traditional faith of general Han Chinese people (about 15% of total population of Brunei). From many estimates of different sources but the most common figure is 14% of Brunei's population are Buddhists.[2][3][4][5] According to Brunei's official 2016 data, 7% (29,495) of the population practices Buddhism. [6]
