Bambooflat is a census town in South Andaman district of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a union territory of India. It is also known as Bamboo Flat.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Bambooflat had a population of 6790. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bambooflat has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 77% and female literacy of 67%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
