Bhaskar Sharma is an Indian werewolf character appearing in the Bhediya Film series and other films of Maddock Supernatural Universe.[1][2] He is portrayed by Indian Actor Varun Dhawan. Inspired by Yapum, the character first appeared in Bhediya (2022), and will appear again in Stree 2 (2024) and Bhediya 2 (2025).[3] With just one movie, he have gained cult fan following among the audience.[4] Bhaskar is a road construction contracter, who was bitten by another werewolf in the jungle of Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, India.[5][6] The purpose of that werewolf was to protect the jungle, even if he/she has to kill somebody.[7] The curse of Yapum can transform anybody into a werewolf by biting them, and then that person (if alive) will have to protect a particular jungle all his/her life, and that's what happened to Bhaskar.[8] Even in human form, he have various superpowers, like super strength, super speed, heightened senses (of hearing and smelling), can understand animal language, and can easily heal wounds.[9]
