Twinkle is now ready to use

Hi, @Bharatwiki Socrates, Ajay Kumar, Editorial Oversight, and Dokania:! I just finished implementing Twinkle in Bharatpedia, and it is now working. You can enable it from Preferences → Gadgets → Twinkle. Please give it a try and let me know if you encounter any issues or if anything doesn't work as expected. Thanks for implementing Twinkle! I enabled it and tested it, but currently I’m not getting the full Twinkle interface/options. For example, I don’t see the options for AfD nomination, maintenance tags, speedy deletion, and other Twinkle actions.

At the moment, I’m only seeing the “Prefer software rollback when available” option in the preferences, and on the page I’m mainly getting the single-click rollback functionality. @Editorial Oversight: Did you enable it through Preferences? I noticed that you included the script in your user space, which isn't the correct way to enable it. You need to enable it from Preferences → Gadgets → Twinkle. WikiDwarf (talk) 19:00, 25 September 2026 (IST)

I enabled it through Preferences → Gadgets → Twinkle first. That’s how I was able to use the single-click rollback on the Mushtaq Khan article and revert it to the last version. So Twinkle is definitely active through the settings.

The issue is that I’m only getting the rollback functionality, while the other Twinkle options such as AfD nomination, maintenance tags, speedy deletion, and other actions are not appearing. Go to Preferences → Gadgets, then look for the Twinkle section. It should appear as something like:

“Twinkle: add menu buttons to automate common tasks, including: reporting vandalism, warning vandals, requesting deletion or protection, welcoming users, and tagging articles.”

Sorry, I cross-checked again and found that Twinkle is limited to autoconfirmed users. You will be able to use it once you are autoconfirmed. Hi @WikiDwarf, I have tested the Twinkle features. All features were working except CSD, where the “Tag page” icon is unresponsive. The AfD deletion discussion function is also not deploying fully and fails with the message: “Creating article deletion discussion page: Could not resolve redirects for: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/” 🍁Bharatwiki Socrates🍁(📩) 23:30, 25 September 2026 (IST)

@Bharatwiki Socrates: Thanks for testing and for flagging those two issues — they were the awkward ones. Both are fixed on the tool side now: CSD tagging should respond, and AfD no longer tries to write to Wikipedia. Nominations go to Bharatpedia:Articles for deletion.

We still need a few missing XfD and CSD templates on-wiki so the discussion pages render cleanly. I will add those when I have time. Appreciate the thorough check.
