Closing articles[edit source]

I think atop and abot should be used to close discussions if they do not require attention anymore as we can focus on those discussions which require attention. If status= closed isn't suitable we can also use status=stale, please note that status resolved and closed are different. resolved means conclusion and closed means discussion has served its purpose. We use atop/abot to close discussions where a clear conclusion or consensus has been reached and formal closure is appropriate. Casual conversations and routine exchanges do not necessarily require formal closure. The decision should depend on the nature of the discussion and relevant Bharatpedia guidelines. [1]
Keep in mind Dokania, a discussion does not always need a formal consensus to be closed as sometime irrelevant or disruptive discussion may warrant closure. Conversely, a discussion that is still active should not be closed prematurely. 🍁Bharatwiki Socrates🍁(📩) 07:13, 17 October 2026 (IST)Reply
But the guideline do not prevent formal closures of routine exchanges and it will help sort the articles better. Dokania😎(📩) 07:15, 17 October 2026 (IST)Reply
No, we don't have policy or guidelines on it so I was acting as per Bharatpedia:Common sense, I will soon create Bharatpedia:Non-admin closure and Bharatpedia:Advice on closing discussions. 🍁Bharatwiki Socrates🍁(📩) 07:23, 17 October 2026 (IST)Reply
