Balotra District

Balotra district is a district of Rajasthan state of India.[1] This district came into existence on August 7, 2023 by separating from Barmer district.[2]

Balotra's district headquarters is Balotra town.[2] Balotra district is bordered by Jaisalmer district in the north, Jodhpur Rural district in the east, Pali, Jalore district in the south and Barmer, Sanchore district in the west. The area of Balotra district is 10,551 sq km. The total population of Balotra district is 9,70,760. Balotra district has 7 tehsils: Pachpadra, Siwana, Sindhari, Baytu, Samdari, Kalyanpur and Gida. There are 1216 villages in Balotra district. The main industry of Balotra district is textile industry. There are many historical places in Balotra district, some of which are prominent:
