Badli is a Village is located in Rohini, North West District of Indian Union Territory of Delhi. The Three Metro Stations Is Nearby Badli is Samaypur Badli Metro Station, Haiderpur Badli Mor Metro Station and Rohini Sector 18, 19 Metro Station.

Geography

Badli is a Village in Rohini, North West District of Delhi, India. It is located 9 kilometres to the east of Kanjhawala, the district headquarters.

History

Badli was originally ruled by Ror peoples in 12th Century. The Jats of Badli believe themselves to be descendants of Brahmins the who lost their caste because of alcohol consumption. Their ancestors settled in Badli from Indore 30 generations before.

A Historical fight fought in Badli between Rors and Qutabuldin Aibak ruler of delhi , in which Rors eventually lost that battle due to betrayal of Brahmins present there.

" Rors are rulers of badli where few Brahmins came to Badli barefoot from indore and asked for water to drink from Rors , Rors told them to drink water from Pot there ,After drinking water Brahmins realised that they consumed alchol ,actually Rors offered them wine to drink, These 3-4 Brahmins got angry and threaten Rors to take revenge as they lose their purity because of Rors as they settled there and wait for time to take revenge ,as Delhi was ruled by Qutubuldin aibak those days and he was increasing Islamic power in India and asked Rors for dola/bride accept Isalm , where Ror refused to do so ... and a fight started between Rors and Aibak ,Brahmins want these day to come as they supported Qutabuldin Aibak to get rid of Rors there , as a result Qutabuldin aibak attacked Rors on the day (suggested by brahmins)when Rors worshiping their weapons and can be defeated easily , as Rors lost the battle and escaped from there , Due to becoming impure these Brahmins became Jat latter without much notice."

Badli is now an urban village, having lost its most of the land through the Government acquisition for the development of Rohini. It has a railway and metro rail station.

Badli now is an assembly constituency being represented by the two times councilor and present MLA sh. Ajesh Yadav. The constituency consists of two urban villages namely Badli and Samaypur, while also including three rural villages: Libaspur, Siraspur, and Bhalswa.

It has two resettlement colonies: Bhalswa & Jahangirpuri. It also has around 32 unauthorised colonies.

Administration

Member of the Legislative Assembly from Badli is Ajesh Yadav of Aam Aadmi Party, who won in 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly election for the second time. In 2015 Yadav defeated then incumbent Devender Yadav of INC.

Badli Industrial Area

Badli Industrial Area is one of the important Industrial areas of Amritsar Delhi Kolkata Industrial Corridor, of North Delhi Badli village is an urban village of North West Delhi located near Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering or DCE). Badli is nearby NH 1 with Rohini, Samaypur Industrial Area at Samaypur on west, the outer ring road forms the north boundary.

Kundli Industrial Area, Delhi Western Peripheral Expressway and Rajiv Gandhi Education City on Grand Trunk Road (NH 44) also lie in its vicinity. It is also connected by the under implementation Delhi-Sonipat Metro extension of Yellow line to be completed in Phase IV by March 2022.
