Ashi Singh (born 12 August 1997)[1] is an Indian television actress.[2] She portrayed the role of Naina Agarwal in Sony Entertainment Television's Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. In 2020, she appeared as Princess Yasmine in Sony SAB's Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga. Since 2021, she is appearing as Meet Hooda in Zee TV's Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet.

Career[edit]

Ashi Singh made her television debut through the show Secret Diaries:The Hidden Chapters in 2015[3] She was also seen in Gumrah (season 5) and Crime Patrol (Tamasha Mandli)[2] She has also acted in Savdhaan India.[4] She did a small role in Qaidi Band as the jailer's daughter.[5]

In 2017, she was selected to play the lead role (Naina Agarwal) in SET India's show, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai paired opposite Randeep Rai (Sameer Maheshwari). The show ran successfully until August 2019, with a season 2 set at an indefinite date.

In August 2020, after Avneet Kaur (the original actress to play Sultana Yasmine in Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga) quit the show on health basis,[6] Ashi then played Yasmine on Sony SAB's Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga.[7]

Since 2021, she is appearing as Meet Hooda in Zee TV's Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet

Singh was a finalist for BizAsia's TV Personality Award for 3 consecutive years 2018, 2019 and 2020 and was ranked at the positions 10, 7 and 2 respectively, on that list.[8] She was ranked 18th in Eastern Eye's "50 Sexiest Asian Women 2018" list.[9] In 2019, she had featured in the cover interview of Eastern Eye in its 1500th issue, under the title of "The Future Belongs to Ashi Singh".[10]
