Army Public School, Noida is the brainchild of the former Army Chief Gen BC Joshi, who desired to impart education of international standards to the wards of Indian armed forces personnel. The school was founded on 17 February 1995[2] by the then Chief of Army Staff, Gen Shankar Roychowdhury. The school is under the control of the AWES (Army Welfare Education Society).
Army Public School, Noida is generally managed by the Western Command of the Indian Army. It follows the CBSE pattern of education. On the reception of the school there is a taurus statue which indicates the motto of the school.
