Archita Sahu is an Indian actress, model and television personality who has established a career in Odia films. She emerged as 1st runners up in the 2013 Femina Miss India, Kolkata.[2] Her numerous accolades as an actress include four Odisha State Film Awards.[3]
Early life[edit]
Sahu was born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She completed her schooling from D. M. School and B. Tech graduation from KIIT University.[4] She is also an Odissi dancer who has won a national scholarship for the same.[5]
In 2004, she was crowned Miss Kalinga.[3]
In 2013, Sahu participated in Femina Miss India, Kolkata and emerged as the 1st runners.[2]
Film career[edit]
Her first Odia film is O My Love, which was released in 2005.[6][7] She was awarded Odisha State Film Awards as Best Actress for four times.[3][8][9][10]
Other work[edit]
Sahu is the state Ambassador of UNICEF and Government of Odisha for "Eradication of child labour".[11][12] She is also the ambassador of Junior Red Cross.[13]
She was also a part of IPL 5 as the brand ambassador of Deccan Chargers.[14][15][16]
Personal life[edit]
On 1 March 2021, Sahu married actor Sabyasachi Mishra in Jaipur.[17]
