Anzer Ayoob is a Kashmiri journalist and author. He is the founder of The Chenab Times.[5][6]

He has contributed to several news organizations such as The Diplomat, Mongabay, and The Wire (India).

Career[edit]

Anzer Ayoob's career in journalism began at 16 in 2015. In 2017, he discontinued his education due to his mother's declining health, becoming the primary breadwinner for his family. He began writing about regional issues for local publications and secured internships with media outlets. In July 2017, he founded a news outlet called The Chenab Times in Doda district.[7]

Anzer has contributed to several news organizations such as The Diplomat (magazine), Mongabay, The Wire (India), The Quint and more.[8] He raises concerns over various issues in Chenab Valley.[4][9]

Personal life[edit]

Anzer Ayoob was born in 1999 in Thathri. After 2017, he became the sole breadearner for his family.[10][1][11]
