Annai Bhoomi 3D is a 1985 Tamil-language action film directed by R. Thyagarajan, starring Vijayakanth and Radha Ravi. Annai Bhoomi was the first 3D film made in Tamil film industry.[1] The movie received positive reviews and was a success at the box office. It was later dubbed in Hindi as Bhoomi Puthr.[2] The film was remade in Kannada as Namma Bhoomi 3D starring Charan Raj and Tiger Prabhakar.[3]

Production[edit]

Devar Films wanted to produce 3D film with Rajinikanth as Annai Bhoomi. Rajini didn't want to risk it and recommended Vijayakanth. Due to a misunderstanding, Rajini and Devar Films parted ways.[4]

Soundtrack[edit]

The highly successful soundtrack was composed by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Malaysia Vasudevan and S. Janaki.[5]
