Anjarakandy Higher Secondary School is situated in Ancharakandy, Kannur district, Kerala, India, about 15 km south of Kannur town. More than 13000 students study in the school, from standard 5 through to standard 10 and additional +1 and +2 classes in higher secondary sections.
The school was first established in 1930. The school was set up as an Upper primary school to cater for the successful students from 5 Lower primary schools in the locality. Many great scholars studied and were taught in this school including the famous Malayali poet.[citation needed]
This school received the "Best school in Kerala" award in 2000.[citation needed]
