Life and career[edit]

At the age of 18, she was married to her boyfriend against her willingness. After two years, they were separated while Anie was pregnant with a six-month-old baby.[4] She was also abandoned from her home as she went against parent's dictate.[5] Anie lived in a shed at her grandmother's house with her son Shivasurya and sold lemonade and ice cream in the streets of Varkala to earn the money for living. In 2014, she joined a training center in Thiruvananthapuram to prepare for the exam for sub-inspector post and for woman police post.[6] In 2016, Anie joined the Kerala Police as a civil officer. After completing her three years service, Anie was selected in 2019 after writing the SI test.[7] In June 2021, she was appointed as the sub inspector of Varkala police station after completing one and half years of training.[8] She was later posted at Ernakulam Central police station upon her request.[9]
