Amrath
Amrath or Amrath Shareef is a village located in the Jamui Community Developmental Block under the Jamui district of Indian state of Bihar.[1][2] According to the 2011 Census of India, the village population is 7175. The current population is estimated to be 8,754.[3] The Postal Index Number of Amrath is 811313.[4][5] There is a Shrine of Hazrat Syed Ahmed Khan Ghazi Jajneri.[6] It is a gram panchayat, 14 km from the district headquarters Jamui.

While bus services and Railway Station is available within 10 km, the Government Engineering College, Jamui situated about 14 km away.
Urs[edit]
Every year in the month of February or March, the yearly Urs of Syed Ahmed Khan Ghazi Jajneri is conducted commemorating his death. It is largely participated by the local people with great love.[7][8][9]
