Alboe By The Beach was a planned three-day music festival scheduled to take place in Varkala, Kerala. the event was promoted as one of South India’s first major beach music festivals.[1]

The Alboe By The Beach festival was founded by Vishnu Shyamaprasad. The event was announced as a multi-genre beach carnival, Alboe By The Beach was set to feature a lineup of artists across genres such as rock, jazz, indie, and hip-hop.[2] The artist lineup included notable names such as Brodha V, Arivu, Taba Chake, The F16s, Pineapple Express, Hanumankind, and Paal Dabba, among others. The festival was expected to host flea markets, handicraft stalls, and focused to position itself as a "plastic-free festival."[3][4]
Cancellation[edit | edit source]
The festival was cancelled just one day prior to its scheduled commencement. The announcement was made through the event’s official Instagram page, causing disappointment among ticketholders, many of whom had already made travel and accommodation arrangements.[5][6]
According to statements made by a member of the organizing team to media outlets, the cancellation was caused due to event’s primary sponsor backing off, and unforeseen financial losses and high operational expenses.[7]
