Akshay Ajith (born 11 August 1986) is an Indian actor, filmmaker and singer who works in Malayalam cinema. He has appeared in several South Indian films, including supporting and character roles. He is also known for singing and performing cover versions of songs in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.

Akshay Ajith was born on 11 August 1986 in Guruvayur, Thrissur district, Kerala, India.[1]

Akshay Ajith made his directorial debut with the Malayalam film Kerala Express, in which he also acted. The film, starring Ishaan Dev and Manpreet, began production in Kochi in December 2019.[2] It was produced by Shamsudheen M under the banner of Aadhidev Cinemas. The story revolves around a coffee shop where the main characters meet, with elements of suspense.[3]
In 2026, Ajith began directing and starring in the Malayalam film Dil.[4] The film's production began in Bengaluru in September 2026. It is described as an emotional suspense thriller, and filming was also scheduled to take place in Kerala.[5]

In addition to filmmaking and acting, Ajith has gained attention for singing and performing cover versions of songs from Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. His cover of "Oru Poovine Nisha Shalabham", a song from the Malayalam film Meenathil Thalikettu, received media attention.[6] The song "Ithu Vazhi" from Kerala Express was featured in a lyrical video published by The Times of India in 2020.[7] His music is also available on Spotify.[8]
