Aksharathettu (Meaning: Spelling Mistake) is an Indian Malayalam television series broadcast on Mazhavil Manorama since 6 July 2020.[2] Ishani Ghosh and Dharish Jayaseelan are the main protagonists of the series.[3]

From October 26, 2020 this series was merged with Suryakanthi (Meaning: Sun flower)[4] which premiered in the channel from 17 August 2020.[5]

Plot[edit]

Lakshmi Sivasankar, a young girl reaches Madras to pursue a career in film industry where she met ramkumar a very popular actor. As time passed by their relationship progresses and Lakshmi gets pregnant with ramkumar's child. Abandoned by ramkumar, Lakshmi gives birth to a baby whom her father abandons in street. Believing that the child was dead by birth Lakshmi starts her career again and plans revenge on ramkumar. Due to ramkumar's influence Lakshmi struggles in the film industry but manages to bag a challenging role of a mute in a film of director zakhir. She now takes the name jayalakshmi as believes the film would be a hit. On the other hand Karan and arjun, two street boys find lakshmi's kid and raises him with the help of a poor family. The boys use the kid to beg money from others. Ramkumar marries the daughter of chief minister, malarmathi who is now aware of the illegitimate child of ramkumar. Lakshmi comes to know about the child being alive by confronting her father. Ramkumar too know the child is alive, tries to find the kid and kill him. Malarmathi hires a private detective agency to find the child before ramkumar and hires some people to badmouth Lakshmi and zakhir so they would end up marrying.
