Template:IslamophobiaTemplate:Violence against Muslims in independent India On 6 December 2017, a 48-year-old labour contractor Afrazul Khan (a residence of Malda, west Bengal) was hacked and burnt alive by a hindutva goon Shambhu Lal Regar.[1] Afrazul, a petty labour contractor, went for a cup of tea to the labour chowk Jal Chakki, where Bengali workers customarily gather every morning.[2][3] Shambhu Lal Regar called him to a vacant plot of land owned by his family.[4] It was there that Shambhu attacked by a pickaxe Afrazul, as Shambhu's 14 year old nephew videotaped the attack. And poured kerosene over him and set on fire.[5][6][7]
