Aditya Om (born 5 October 1975) is an Indian actor, writer, lyricist, director and producer in Telugu movies. He also did theatre and serials. He starred in Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo (2002) as a main lead. He has done more than 25 films as a leading actor in Telugu films. Apart from that, he had directed films.

Career[edit]

He has directed critically acclaimed film "Bandook" and Silent film "Mr Lonely Miss lovely". His short films "Maya Mobile" and "For my mother" were widely appreciated. As an associate producer he was involved in critically acclaimed feature films "Shudra" and "Dozakh, in search of heaven". "The Dead End" written and directed by Aditya om is an English feature film which won awards at various international film festivals and is available on various digital platforms.[1][2] "Friend Request" a horror thriller bilingual film written and directed by Aditya Om released in Telugu language in 2016 to a good response.[3][4][5][6][7] During release of Friend Request Aditya Om also did an agitation[8][9][10][11][12] for small film makers and fought against the growing monopolies in cinema business. His last released Film in Hindi was "Alif" as an Actor.[13] Hindi feature film "Maassab" directed by Aditya Om has won awards at various national and international film festivals[14][15][16] Aditya Om's scripts are also part of reputed Oscar library.[17][18][19] Currently Aditya Om is working on an environment based single character multilingual feature film titled 'Bandi ‘ or 'Bandhi'.[20][21] His next releases in Telugu are Young stars and "Damini Villa".[22]

He is actively involved in charity, social work and has adopted a village Cherupally in Telangana. He is also working for educational reforms with his organisation 'Edulightment'.[23][24][25][26] He has constructed a library there and has opened digital service center and given laptops and solar lights to village school and people. He is working tirelessly for educational reforms under his organisation Edulightment; welfare of Tribals in Telangana, Auto drivers in Mumbai, and is also involved in human rights associations.[27][28][29]
