Abhayapuri South is part of Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency[1] along with 9 other assembly segments, namely, Bongaigaon and Abhayapuri North in this district, Patacharkuchi, Barpeta, Jania, Baghbar, Sarukhetri and Chenga in Barpeta district and Dharmapur in Nalbari district.
