A. Ramachandran (Politician)
A. Ramachandran is an Indian politician and incumbent Mayor of Salem City Municipal Corporation.[1][2] As a cadre of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. He also served as treasurer of Hastampatty DMK.[3][4] He became 5 th person and 6th as Mayor of Salem Corporation.

Early life[edit]
He was born in Salem in 1944. He joined in DMK in 1961 headed by Annadurai C N. He is very close to Chitti Babu. He words hard for DMK in election times, because of this DMK president Karunanidhi appreciated him. He also participated in many protests by DMK and went jail many times.
