Garatad is a village in Chopda in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from sub district headquarter and 50 kilometres (31 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India).[1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 507 houses and a population of 2295 of which 1179 are males while 1116 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 206 people are from Schedule Caste and 493 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
