Dhekwad is a village in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from sub district headquarter and 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 345 houses and a population of 1681 of which 801 are males while 880 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 51 people are from Schedule Caste and 1510 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
