Chitod is a village in Dhule district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from sub district headquarter and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 799 houses and a population of 4224 of which 2194 are males while 2030 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 595 people are from Schedule Caste and 1015 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
