SVC 63 is the working title of an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Vamshi Paidipally and presented by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film stars Salman Khan and Nayanthara in the lead roles, with Anil Kapoor, Arvind Swamy, Rajpal Yadav, Rahul Dev, Jackie Shroff, Sagarika Ghatge and Muzammil Ibrahim in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to be released theatrically during Eid in 2027.

On 30 March 2026, Salman Khan announced his next film after Maatrubhumi by sharing a photograph with director Vamshi Paidipally on social media,[1] marking their first collaboration and Paidipally's debut in Hindi cinema.[2] The film, tentatively titled SVC 63, is produced by Shirish and Kuldeep Rathore and presented by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.[3][4]
In August 2026, reports began referring to the film as The Monster, although the title had not been formally announced by the makers.[5] The project continued to be referred to as SVC63 in production reports.
Casting[edit | edit source]
In late March 2026, Nayanthara was announced as part of the cast opposite Salman Khan, in her second Hindi-language film after Jawan (2023),[6] marking their first on-screen collaboration, as they did not share scenes in Godfather (2022).[7]
In early April, Arvind Swamy and Anil Kapoor were reported to have joined the cast.[8] Swamy was reportedly cast in a non-negative role.[9]
In late April, Rajpal Yadav joined the cast and began filming. The film marks his reunion with Khan after Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) and Partner (2007).[10] He was subsequently reported to be playing Khan's right-hand man.[11]
Rahul Dev and Jackie Shroff were subsequently reported to have joined the cast. Shroff was reported to be playing an important character who becomes significant when Khan's character faces a difficult situation, rather than the antagonist.[12][13]
In August, Sagarika Ghatge joined the cast. Details of her character were kept undisclosed.[14]
Actor Muzammil Ibrahim also joined the film and began shooting in August. Details of his character were kept confidential, although reports described him as having an action-oriented role. The casting was also reported to include Rahul Dev, Jackie Shroff and Ghatge.[15]
Filming[edit | edit source]
Principal photography commenced in April 2026 with a traditional muhurat ceremony,[16][17] The first schedule was held at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon, Mumbai, where a set designed to resemble a dense urban area was constructed.[18]
The production later returned to Mumbai for a major action schedule beginning on 6 August 2026. For the schedule, the production recreated an Afghan village at Prime Focus Studio in Film City, Goregaon, featuring mud-plastered buildings, narrow lanes and weathered homes. The set was constructed for several major action sequences featuring Khan and Nayanthara, with the production using Mumbai as a substitute for the Afghan setting rather than filming in Afghanistan.[19][20]
Nayanthara joined Khan for this portion of the production, with both actors reported to be involved in key action set-pieces. The Mumbai schedule was expected to continue until early September, with the filmmakers aiming to complete a substantial portion of the film's action material during the schedule.[21]
Jackie Shroff was also reported to have joined the Mumbai schedule, while Rahul Dev was among the other actors involved in the production.[22] Muzammil Ibrahim began filming for the project during the same period.[23]

In September 2026, Vishal Mishra was reported to have reunited with Salman Khan for the film, with Mishra set to compose the album and title track.[24]

The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release during Eid in 2027.[25][26]
