Ghisi Piti Mohabbat (transl. Worn Out Love ; Hindi: घिसी-पिटी मोहब्बत) is a Pakistani dark humor television series produced by Abdullah Seja under the banner of iDream Entertainment. It premiered on August 6, 2020, on ARY Digital. The series is written by Fasih Bari Khan, known for his work on "Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah," and stars Ramsha Khan as the protagonist, alongside Wahaj Ali, Shahood Alvi, Ali Abbas, and Danial Afzal in supporting roles.
Plot Summary[edit | edit source]
The story centers around Samia (Ramsha Khan), an independent and confident woman who works as a chef in a restaurant. After her first marriage to Rizwan (Wahaj Ali) ends due to his infidelity, Samia remarries Khalil (Shahood Alvi). Tragically, Khalil is murdered by his first wife on their wedding night. Following this traumatic event, Samia marries Basharat (Ali Abbas), a colleague at her workplace who lives with his widowed sister-in-law, Amtul (Javeria Abbasi), and her nephew, Salman (Zuhab Khan).
However, after Salman’s untimely death, Basharat feels compelled to marry Amtul, which complicates Samia's life further. Faced with constant interference from Amtul and unable to maintain her marital happiness, Samia decides to leave Basharat, much to her mother's disappointment. Compounded by the closure of the restaurant where she worked, Samia struggles to find stable employment, facing harassment in various workplaces.
Determined to reclaim her independence, Samia takes the bold step of opening her own restaurant, ultimately achieving success. A new character, Uzair (Danial Afzal), enters her life and proposes marriage, but Samia, wary of his flirtatious nature, declines. In the end, she resolves to live life on her own terms, choosing independence over marriage and focusing on her personal ambitions.
Production[edit | edit source]
Originally titled Meri Chaar Shadiyaan, the show was later renamed Ghisi Piti Mohabbat. The writer, Fasih Bari Khan, has indicated that the narrative is inspired by true events. This series also marks the second on-screen collaboration between Wahaj Ali and Ramsha Khan, who previously appeared together in Mah-e-Tamaam (2018).

Critical Reception[edit | edit source]
Critics have responded positively to "Ghisi Piti Mohabbat." Sadaf Haider from Dawn Images praised the series, ranking it as one of the best of the year, stating, "Despite its cynical title, Ghisi Piti Mohabbat could easily have been a great romance—the kind that bets on a flip of a coin as the characters learn what is truly valuable in life."
A reviewer from Daily Times highlighted Ramsha Khan's performance and the series' writing and execution, noting its blend of comedy, romance, melodrama, and social commentary. They described the show as "a sweet combo of comedy and quirkiness," remarking on its fresh and engaging narrative.
At the annual ARY People's Choice Awards, the series received accolades, with Fasih Bari Khan winning for Favourite Writer, Saba Faisal taking home the award for Favourite Actress in a Role of Maa, and Ramsha Khan winning Favourite Actress.
