Patharai is a village in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from sub district headquarter and 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]
Demography[edit | edit source]
As of 2009, The village has a total number of 418 houses and a population of 2662 of which 1527 are males while 1135 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 40 people are from Schedule Caste and 1452 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
