Ali Ahmed is an Indian entrepreneur and business executive.[1] He is the founder and chief executive officer of Montag Infrastructure, a real estate and infrastructure development company in India, and is associated with the Mumbai-based football club Mumbay FC.[2]
Early life and education[edit | edit source]
Ahmed graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree with distinction from Bangalore University. He later completed a postgraduate management degree from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Another profile reports that he completed his engineering degree in 1998 and his MBA in 2000.[3]
Career[edit | edit source]
Ahmed founded Montag as a family business in 2001. The company initially ventured into horological products before expanding into real estate and infrastructure development.[4] Montag Infrastructure has undertaken developments in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.[5]
Mumbay FC[edit | edit source]
Ahmed was involved in the establishment of Mumbay FC, a football club based in Mumbai. The club was officially launched in July 2024, with Ahmed identified as its founder and chairman.[6] Mumbay FC subsequently participated in the Mumbai Premier League and became associated with Magic Made Soccer, which won the Maharashtra State Senior Men's Football League in 2025.[7]

Ahmed was reported by Montag Infrastructure as the recipient of the Pravasi Rattan Award in 2018 at the House of Commons in London.[8]
