If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request a technical move below. This is the appropriate procedure if you tried to move a page but received an error message such as "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "This page could not be moved, for the following reason:...".

If you are here because you want an experienced editor to approve your new article or proposed page rename, this is not the correct place.
- Make sure you genuinely need technical assistance before submitting a request here. As an autoconfirmed user, you can move most pages yourself. Even if the target page already exists, you may sometimes move the page normally if the target is a redirect to the source page and has only one revision.
- If this is your first article and you want your draft moved to the main namespace, please use the submission wizard, if available, to submit your draft or user sandbox page for review through Bharatpedia:Articles for creation. Do not list such requests here.
- If you need help determining whether a page should be moved to another title, follow the instructions at the top of Bharatpedia:Requested moves.
To list a technical request: the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection, or click the blue button below and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in the page titles and reason:

To request the reversal of a recent undiscussed move: Review the guidelines at BP:RMUM to determine whether the reversal qualifies as uncontroversial. If it does, the Requests to revert undiscussed moves subsection, or click the blue button below and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in the page titles and reason:
{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}Please note that, in some cases, administrators or editors with page-mover permissions may determine that a reversal request does not meet the relevant criteria. They may move the request to the contested section or initiate a formal requested move discussion on behalf of the requester if the proposed move may be controversial.
- If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, move the request to the Contested technical requests section, add a note explaining your objection and sign it with ~~~~. Consider notifying the requester so that they are aware of the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request remains unanswered, start a requested move discussion on the article's talk page in accordance with the requested move procedure, and remove the request from this page. The simplest method is to use the discussion link associated with the request, save the talk page and then remove the entry from this page. Any automatic removal of contested requests depends on the maintenance tools configured on Bharatpedia.
Use this section when your request requires an administrator. This is usually necessary if the page is fully protected or move protected. See this guide for information on which moves require administrator assistance.
