School of Technology and Applied Sciences (STAS), was established in the year 1993, by the Mahatma Gandhi University,Kerala.^[1] At present, the institution is under the direct administrative control of Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS),Kerala^[2] with three regional centres at Kottayam,^[3] Kochi^[4]^[5] and Pathanamthitta.^[6] The institution offers Bachelors and Postgraduate degrees mainly in the areas of computer science, cyber forensics and electronics.^[7]
