Bahreliya is a gotra found in the Indian Rajput caste, whose Awadh Surajpur Bahrela region occupies an important place in the history of Barabanki Uttar Pradesh[1]
Bahraliya derives its name from the village of Bahrela, Balram Singh Sisodia and Brahma Shah Sisodia superseded Jaur Khan at the time and the word Bahraliya came into vogue on the basis of the same village,,
Due to settling here, the descendants of Brahma Shah Sisodia and Balaram Singh Sisodia were called Bahreliya. Bahreliya Rajputs also claim to be Suryavanshi Sisodia like other Rajputs, Bahreliya Rajput Surajpur was the ruler of Bahrela Awadh. Bahreliya Sisodia,[2]
The dynasty and the Trilokchandi Bais dynasty have enjoyed good relations as Balram Singh Sisodia and Brahma Shah Sisodia ji were going for the Bahrela war. On the way, Bannar Shah Bais, a descendant of Trilokchandi Guhamdev Ji Bais of Etawah district village Gahumunj,[3]
In 1540 Sher Shah Suri fought a war against Humayun and got the title of Shah.
Bannar Shah Bais also took a troop of his army with Brahma Shah and Balram Singh Sisodiya.[4]
And Surajpur won in the war of Bahrela.
