Zee Talkies is a Marathi pay television channel broadcasting Marathi movies by Zee Entertainment Enterprises.[1] It is the first Marathi movie channel broadcasting old classics and latest Marathi movies 24 hours a day. It was launched on 25 August 2007. A HD version of the channel, Zee Talkies HD, was launched on 15 October 2016. It is a sister channel of Marathi-language network Zee Marathi.[2]
Availability
The channel available across India and other countries through satellite and cable. It is also available through digital and mobile entertainment platform with live on ZEE5.[3]
Reception
The channel generally occupies the fourth position in Top 5 Marathi channels across Maharashtra and Goa. During lockdown period i.e. April to July 2020, the channel became the most watched Marathi channel with highest GRPs.[4][5][6][7][8]
Programming
The channel telecasts a mythological show Gajar Kirtanacha, Sohla Anandacha from 7 to 9 am Daily from February 2017. This show completed its 1000 episodes in July 2019.[9] It also telecasts a show Manmandira : Gajar Bhakticha from 6 to 7 pm every Monday to Saturday.
