This template starts a requested move discussion. It must always be substituted — never transcluded directly.
Usage
Add the following in a new section on the talk page of the page you want to have moved:
{{subst:Requested move|Proposed new title|reason=Why the move is needed}}
Parameters
- 1 — the proposed new title of the page (required).
- reason — why the page should be moved (optional, but please give one).
What it does
The template adds a dated "Requested move" section to the talk page containing a notice box, and automatically lists the talk page in Category:Requested moves, where editors and administrators can find all open requests.
Example
{{subst:Requested move|Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus|reason=Official name used in most sources}}
