Bharatpedia is hosted in India. Use of the site is subject to, among other things:

- the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021;
- the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023;
- the Copyright Act, 1957 (including fair dealing under section 52);
- the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, together with earlier IPC / CrPC / Evidence Act material where sources still discuss those statutes.
