Charli Grace D'Amelio (born 1 May 2004) is an American social media personality and dancer who gained prominence in late 2019 through her dance videos on the video-sharing platform TikTok. Prior to her social media success, she trained as a competitive dancer for over a decade. D'Amelio joined The Hype House collective in 2019, the same year she began posting content on TikTok. Her rapid rise to fame saw her become the most-followed creator on the platform from March 2020 to June 2022, a position she held with over 1.56 crore followers. As of 2025, she ranks as the second most-followed person on TikTok.
D'Amelio made her feature film debut with a voice role in the 2020 animated film StarDog and TurboCat. She starred in the Hulu reality series The D'Amelio Show (2021–2023) alongside her family members and co-led the Snap Original reality show Charli vs. Dixie (2021–2022) together with her sister. In 2022, D'Amelio emerged victorious in the thirty-first season of the dance competition series Dancing with the Stars, partnering with professional dancer Mark Ballas. She made her Broadway debut as part of the ensemble cast in & Juliet, which began performances in October 2024.[1]
Her entrepreneurial ventures encompass multiple product lines, including two books, a podcast, a nail polish collection, a mattress line, a makeup range, a clothing line, and a multi-product company. According to Forbes, D'Amelio was the highest-earning female TikTok personality in 2019 and the top-earning personality on the platform in 2022. Personal Life
D'Amelio has publicly discussed her struggles with an eating disorder and body image issues.[5][6] She has been vocal about her experiences with body shaming, particularly in the context of online criticism.[7][8] In an anti-bullying campaign for UNICEF, she shared, "Some of the most hurtful comments that I read about myself online are about my body shape, my body type, which hits close to home because I struggled a lot with body image, body dysmorphia, [and] bad eating habits."[9]
Her romantic relationships have included two public partnerships. D'Amelio was in a relationship with social media influencer Cole Hudson from December 2019 to April 2020.[10] She subsequently dated Landon Barker from July 2022 to February 2024.[11]
