The Federal Board of Revenue [n 1] (FBR), previously known as Central Board of Revenue (CBR), serves as a federal law enforcement agency in Pakistan. It is responsible for investigating tax crimes, suspicious wealth accumulation, and money laundering, as well as regulating tax collection. The FBR operates through Inspectors-IR, who monitor tax evaders, assess taxable incomes, and carry out specific tasks for the FBR Headquarters. The agency plays a crucial role in the collection of taxes from individuals and businesses across the country.
