Portuguese (Portuguese: português or língua portuguesa) is a western Romance language. It is spoken in Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, and São Tomé and Príncipe. It's also a co-official language in East Timor, Equatorial Guinea, and Macau. More than 260 million people speak Portuguese, 236 million people speak Portuguese as a native language, and 27 million people speaks Portuguese as its second language.
