Rati Raut

Rati Raut was a King of Rati Pargana, a region between Bettiah and East Champaran in the present-day state of Bihar.[1][2] He belonged to a royal family of the Krishnaut clan of the Yadav/Gopa.[3][4]

The zamindar family of Belwarganj Estate is the descendants of Raja Rati Raut.[5]

Rati Raut was a friend of Raja Agrasen Singh of Jaithariya dynasty, he did not have a single son, he married his daughter to Gaj Singh, son of Raja Agrasen Singh. Later Gaj Singh became the king of Bettiah, but he also did not have any child, so he declared his nephew as his successor.

Early life

Rati Raut was born on 22 January 1602 in Champaran district, Bihar, into a royal family. His father was the king of a small part of West Champaran. He belonged to the Majhraut clan of Yadava.[6]
