According to Hindu mythology, Nagalakshmi is the wife of Sheshanag , the king of snakes and seat of lord Vishnu. She is the queen of snakes.She is also known as serpent Lakshmi.

Her details are mainly found in Garg Sanhita. In Chapter 3 of Balabhadra Khand of Garg Sanhita, it is mentioned that she merged in the body of Revati, the wife of Balaram, the incarnation of Shesh in order to serve her husband.
