Palki Sharma
Palki Upadhyaya (née Sharma; born on May 29, 1982) is a journalist,[1] news anchor and designer.[2] She is the former Executive Editor at WION (TV channel).[3][4][5] She had earlier worked with CNN-IBN for 11 years.[6] She also started a designer Saree brand called Reyva.[6][7][8]

Early life and education
She has a master's degree in Communication and Journalism from ICG.[2] She is also a Certified C1 French Learner from Alliance Francaise de, Delhi. In 2008, she married Sanket Upadhyay, who is also a journalist.[9]
Career
In 2002, she started her career by appearing on India’s largest broadcasting television network Doordarshan as a news anchor, where she hosted for the regional and national channel.[2] She was also assigned the tasks of shortlisting, formatting and writing stories on current affairs at Doordarshan.[2] In 2004, she joined Hindustan Times as Staff Writer and wrote stories on civic and social issues. In May 2005, she entered India’s largest English-language news television channel- CNN-News18 as an Anchor and Senior Editor. In 2007, she was awarded the Best News Reader Award. She groomed herself as a successful anchor and journalist and moved on to iTV network in 2016.[2]
She served as the executive editor of WION (TV channel) where she was the host of the prime-time news programme GRAVITAS.[10][11][12] On September 3, 2022 She resigned from her role as Managing Editor and presenter of news channel, WION.
