Bombay and Bandra Bakar Kasai Jamat Mosques Trust is a three hundred (300) years old trust public trust based in Mumbai. This trust was constructed and is currently maintained the Jama Masjid, Bandra.[1] It is one of the oldest trust of India.

History[edit]

Bakar Kasai Jamaat was originally headquartered in South Mumbai, but later shifted to Bandra, suburb of Mumbai. The trust was initiated by group of goat merchants and butchers from Mumbai. Trust actively runs various social initiatives like masjid, schools and cultural centres.[2]

The political dignitaries like Rahul Gandhi has visited institutes run by Bakar Kasai Jamaat.[3]
