Dr. Makarand Chousalkar is the founder and chief veterinarian of TopDog Healthcare Pvt Ltd, a multi-doctor dog-and-cat veterinary clinic in Mumbai, India, which he co-owns with his wife.[1] He is also a member of Indian Veterinary Association.

Early life

Chousalkar was born in 1971 in Mumbai to a veterinarian and currently lives in Andheri.[2] He completed his early education from Paranjape Vidyalaya and then went to Bombay Veterinary College, Mumbai where he earned a B.V.Sc (Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine & Science) and also obtained his Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc) from the same college.

Career

He founded TopDog Healthcare Pvt Ltd, a multi-doctor dog-and-cat veterinary clinic in 2002 along with wife where he is currently serving as the chief veterinarian. He is known for treating an 12-year-old African Grey parrot suffering from a fungal infection called Rhinolith due to which the victim face difficulty in breathing normally.[3]
