Patel is listed as wealthiest candidate assets worth Rs. 231.93^[3] crore in the Gujarat Congress during Gujarat Elections 2017.^[4]^[5]^[6]

Early life and career

Patel was born on 07 January 1957 to a Gujarati family in Gujarat, India. Patel has completed graduation L&C Mehta Arts College in Ahmedabad. He has been associated with Gujarat Congress.

He is the chairman of Chanchal Group^[7]
