Gangapur is a village in Nawapur tehsil in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from sub district headquarter and 40 kilometres (25 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]


Demography[edit]

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 218 houses and a population of 827 of which 408 are males while 419 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 41 people are from Schedule Caste and 777 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
