Japi is a village in Akrani in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from sub district headquarter and 100 kilometres (62 mi) from district headquarter. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village as per Panchayati raj (India). [1]


Demography

As of 2009, The village has a total number of 425 houses and a population of 2768 of which 1368 are males while 1400 are females. According to the report published by Census India in 2011, out of the total population of the village 0 people are from Schedule Caste and 2755 are from Schedule Tribes Caste.[1]
