Location[edit]

Adi Annamalai or Adhi Annamalai temple also known as Ani Annamalai ^[1] is situated in Thiruvannamalai. It is one of the shrines of the Vaippu Sthalams.^[2]^[3] It is found in the girivalam of Tiruvannamalai temple. It is found in the girivalam route of Arunachalesvara Temple.^[2]^[4]^[5]

Presiding deity[edit]

The presiding deity of the temple is Adhi Annamalayar. His consort is known as Adhi Abithagujalambal.^[2]

Other shrines[edit]

In the prakara of the temple Vinayaka, Muruga and so many lingas are found.^[2] On the way to this temple, a temple devoted to Manickavasaga is found.
