Shahuwadi is a tehsil in the Karvir subdivision of the Kolhapur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.[1]In 1949, the district of Kolhapur grew to include Shahuwadi in a redistricting as the Indian state expanded. In 2011, the area of Shahuwadi had a total area of 1,023.33 (in square kilometers) and a population of 180,322.[2]

The Amba Ghat mountain pass on Ratnagiri-Kolhapur road (NH 204) is situated near Shahuwadi.[3]
